There is a version of Santorini that everyone has seen. The blue domes photographed from the same three angles, the sunset crowd shoulder to shoulder in Oia, the version that exists mostly on other people’s phones. And then there is the version we are going to spend a week inside.
From May 5 to 12, 2027, The Editr is hosting sixteen people on the island, based at an address that Travel + Leisure’s 2026 World’s Best Awards just named the No. 5 resort in Europe, a ranking decided by more than 207,000 reader votes, not a press release. We are not simply booking rooms there. We are building a week around it: cliffside mornings before the island wakes up, long unhurried lunches, the kind of golden hour that Santorini is famous for but rarely lets you actually sit still for, and evenings that have nowhere else to be.
We are filming the entire thing. Every ritual, every table, every view that makes you stop talking mid-sentence, all of it captured on the ground and in real time, for a story we will be telling long after the week ends. This is not a campaign built in a studio. It is sixteen people, one island, and a camera crew quietly documenting what actually happens when you give people the time and the setting to slow down completely.
We built this trip the way we would plan it for ourselves, which is to say privately, deliberately, and without a script. No influencer itinerary, no forced content moments, no schedule so packed you need a vacation from the vacation. Just Santorini, done properly, in the company of a small group and one very good travel advisor.
